APAC PROGRAM CONTINUES at FOREST HILL

In 2023-2024, we will continue to offer the APAC program at Forest Hill High School. Although applications are currently closed, interested parents and students will be able to complete a program interest form for the 2024-2025 school year in November/December. School administrators will determine these students' eligibility by reviewing their:

  • End-of-year course averages.
  • STAR reading and math assessment results
  • State assessment results
Research shows that students who take rigorous courses have improved academic outcomes. They earn higher grades. They graduate high school and complete college at higher rates. This expansion seeks to offer more challenging academics throughout the District. Reaching this goal will ensure fair access and learning opportunities for students.

Students accepted into the program will be able to select APAC academic courses at onsite registration this summer.

Teachers will continue to receive Pre-Advanced Placement/ APAC and Advanced Placement training in June.

Forest Hill is proud to announce the opening of our Performing Arts Center located in the main building allowing for more classroom and performance space under one roof. The new space is aesthetically pleasing and features a larger stage, seating for almost 500 people, ample room for storage, dressing rooms, and space for set construction. Our objective is to develop and strengthen our connections with all of our colleagues in the building, our connections with students in the community, and our students connections with the school, the curriculum, their options, and their fellow classmates.
