Anton Vincent is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and a class of 1982 graduate of Murrah High School. He currently serves as president of Mars Wrigley North America, maker of the world’s most beloved treats and snacks. Mars Wrigley is a subsidiary of Mars Incorporated, one of the world’s largest privately held companies whose broad portfolio includes treating and snacking, pet nutrition, veterinary services, and food technology. Since joining Mars, Mr. Vincent has stewarded the acceleration of value creation of one of the world’s largest and most loved consumer brand portfolios that includes iconic brands like M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, ORBIT®, EXTRA®, and Skittles®, to name a few. He is passionate about sustainable growth, creating extraordinary consumer connections, and developing the next generation of breakthrough leaders.
Prior to joining Mars Wrigley in May 2019, Vincent served as chief executive officer at Greencore USA, a leading global manufacturer of convenience foods, from June through December 2018. Prior to Greencore, he spent much of his career with General Mills, Inc. holding various leadership roles, including president of the Baking Division (from 2010 to 2012), president of the Frozen Frontier Division (2012 to 2014), and president of the U.S. Snacks Division (from 2014 to 2016). He spent 20 years at General Mills building award-winning brands and leading multiple divisions to record financial performance, helping execute the $10B acquisition of the Pillsbury Company, and serving on the board of 301 Inc., General Mills’ early-stage venture fund.
Mr. Vincent holds a BBA in finance from Sam Houston State University and an MBA in marketing from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he serves on the Dean’s Council. Anton serves on the board of International Paper (IP), a NYSE, Fortune 150 company, and numerous other industry and university boards. Anton is also active in industry leadership, serving on the National Confectionary Association (NCA) board and the Sustainable Food Policy Alliance (SFPA).
Anton Vincent is a highly sought-after leadership influencer and speaker. Many organizations and publications have recognized him for his enterprise leadership, most notably – Savoy Magazine (Most Influential African Americans in Corporate America), Black Enterprise (Most Influential Blacks in America, Most Influential Marketing & Advertising Executives), Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Century Award of Excellence) and the Minneapolis Business Journal (Minority Executive of the Year). Anton is also a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) and a founding member of the Black Executive CMO Alliance (BECA), an alliance of the leading CXOs and CMOs.
