Several 6th and 7th grade students completed the mandatory training to be TAP mediators. These students will be TAP Mediators for the 2019-2020 school year. Current TAP members are also pictured.
TAP is a peer mediation program making a difference in schools every day. Mississippi schools have the 2nd highest rate of school suspensions in middle and high schools. At Whitten Preparatory Middle School, students are trained as mediators and assist their peers who are in conflict reach meaningful, mutually agreeable resolutions which result in stopping conflicts before they escalate to violence, detention, or suspension.
