Kirksey Brown Bags it for the Billy Brumfield House

     In an effort to support community awareness, the Kirksey Middle School Student Council and National Junior Honor Society co-sponsored "Brown Bagging" for the Billy Brumfield House.

     The schoolwide campaign focused on the issue of homeless individuals in our community. Homerooms were assigned to bring donations of wipes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, mouthwash, face towels and other toiletries to assemble care packages.

     The Billy Brumfield House provides shelter for about 60 men each night in Jackson. The Brumfield offers safe harbor, clean showers, and nutritious meals to men in need.

     The Kirksey Middle  School Student Council and National Junior Honor Society organizations are co-sponsored by Dr. Cindy Thomas, Chandra Golliday-Anderson and Makesha Page.
