Our 7th graders have been studying weather. We have learned many of the patterns and causes of weather. Students have studied weather fronts, station models, and what to do during different types of severe weather. As a component of this topic, we are also learning about the scientific collection of data.
Bailey 7th graders have constructed their own weather instruments and worked as teams to monitor weather conditions at six different locations on our campus. By teaching students the value of using the proper instrument accurately and collecting data with consistency and integrity we hope to instill a high level of competency for future challenges.
