Wingfield High Athlete is Top High Jumper in the State
Eddie Parish, a senior at Wingfield High, won first place in the high jump at the Mississippi High School Activities Association Track and Field competition. He was No. 1 in the region heading into the state competition. He was also recognized for having the best high jump form in the state of Mississippi. A transplant to Mississippi from California, the track star has several scholarship offers, including from SEC and Ivy League schools.
The head coach of the Wingfield Track and Field team is Fred Champion and the assistant coach is D Ante Almo. Dr. Willie Killins is the schools' principal.
