The Jackson Public School District was directed by the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) to conduct an internal investigation into 2023 MAAP testing irregularities. As a result of our findings, we have taken personnel actions with 43 staff members - including terminations, suspensions and letters of reprimand. Our findings were submitted to the MDE for further review and consideration. Because additional personnel actions may be taken by the MDE, this matter is considered ongoing, and the report of findings cannot be released at this time.
We understand the importance of fair and reliable assessments and remain committed to providing an environment where every scholar and educator can showcase their true potential.
