Tracie Bryant Appointed Interim Director of the Department of Data Management
The Jackson Public Schools Board of Trustees has approved the appointment of Tracie Bryant as interim director for the Department of Data Management. Mrs. Bryant recently served as a research analyst, IRT, and institutional review board administrator with the Department of Data Accountability Research at JPS. In this role, she organized the current Institutional Review Board Policies and Procedures, led and facilitated requests to conduct research, and provided data analysis and research feedback for countless projects to support the district.
Mrs. Bryant’s journey in STEM and research began at Mississippi State University nearly 27 years ago. As a student research assistant, she supported National Science Foundation industrial-based research projects in ergonomics and human factor engineering that received substantial corporate sponsorship funding and resulted in award-winning publications. Mrs. Bryant went on to be one of the few African American female scholars to graduate from the MSU Department of Agriculture and Biological Engineering in her field of study.
Although a proud Mississippi Native, Mrs. Bryant spent the prior 16 years serving as a leader in faith-based education and public health networks in the Dallas-Forth Worth, Texas metroplex area.
