JPS Celebrates Summer Reading with Book Parade and Block Party

JPS kicked off its summer reading initiatives with the 2022 Summer Reading Book Parade and Block Party on Saturday, May 14th at Forest Hill High School.
Bands marched as schools displayed their love for books on floats, boats, trucks, and cars during the parade. Hundreds of scholars and parents were treated to free books, fun activities, and refreshments. The purpose of the event is to motivate scholars to read during the summer months to avoid learning loss.
