National School Nurse Day is observed on May 11 and is part of National Nurses Week May 6-12. We salute the daily efforts of JPS school nurses who ensure all scholars’ wellbeing, safety, and academic ability. " School nurses are an integral part of our educational system. Jackson Public Schools' nurses exemplify the core values of excellence, positive and respectful culture, and relationships as they serve our community's scholars, families, and staff,” said Amanda Thomas, executive director of Climate and Wellness. “Our District nurses assist with providing joyful learning environments by engaging with families to ensure scholars' well-being and development daily.”
