South Jackson Neighborhood Association Donates 1,000 Backpacks to JPS Scholars

The South Jackson Homeowners Association donated 1,000 backpacks to JPS scholars containing hygiene items and school supplies like hand sanitizer, masks, paper, pencils, pencil sharpener, folders, crayons, and erasers. The Office of Partners in Education accepted the donation Friday, August 7.
JPS scholars will be starting school Monday, August 17 to an all-virtual instructional model for the first semester of the school year. These backpacks will be evenly distributed among the South Jackson elementary, middle and high schools. Principals, or a designee from their schools, will be present to pick up backpacks on site for students who attend their schools.
