JPS Parent of the Year

Shannon Battle, along with her husband Marcus, has dedicated herself to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for their son, Isaiah. A graduate of Jackson State University and a successful entrepreneur, Mrs. Battle balances a busy career with her commitment to family and education. She volunteers weekly at Spann Elementary and participates actively in school events. Even during summer breaks, she organizes school beautification projects and engages her family in educational activities at home. Her dedication has contributed to Isaiah’s academic success and his passion for music and reading, serving as an inspiration to other parents in the community.
