Robotics Team Wins 1st Place

March 18, 2024

The Computer Science Wonder Coding Robotic Competition took place on March 8, 2024 at the Mississippi Children’s Museum in Jackson. There were 16 teams from all over the state that competed. The McWillie scholars practiced once a week after school to prepare for the competition.  There were 3 different robot builds. Students could only have 2 tries for each task. Our McWillie Stars brainstormed, collaborated and exhibited amazing problem-solving strategies to successfully complete all three tasks.  Congratulations to Henry Goodwin, Eleanor McGuffey, Kelly Cloyd, Roman Farris and their facilitator, Mrs. Sara Burris, for an amazing 1st place victory!
