Obama Uniform Exchange

Fifth grade scholars recently completed the PYP Exhibition as a culminating event of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. One of the small groups chose to learn about global warming. Students completed research and interviewed Dr. Dominika Parry, President/CEO of 2 Degree Celsius Mississippi. After completing their research and presenting their findings to the community, students decided to take action by hosting a Uniform Exchange at our school. Students took up donations of gently used uniforms, and then invited the school community to come and pick out new uniforms. Reusing clothes is much better for the environment than using all the resources it takes to create new clothes, and learning to have a smaller carbon footprint is very important to the future of our planet. We love to see our students take action!
