Overview
Jackson Community Schools are public schools that provide services and support that fit each neighborhood's needs, created, and run by the people who know are children best — all working together.
Community Schools
Jackson's shared vision for Community Schools is to create a community where people feel safe, whole, valued, and WORK TOGETHER for the well-being of Jackson.
We ensure that students are provided with the support they need both inside and outside of the classroom. With collaboration support of the NEA Foundation and Phi Harden Foundation, we are assuring that every scholar has access to these supports which include academic assistance, attendance, basic needs, behavioral interventions/modifications, civic engagement, college and career preparation, enrichment/motivation, family engagement, life/social skills, physical health, and professional mental health.

Communities In Schools
Jackson Public Schools helps students succeed by removing roadblocks and providing students with the resources, supports, and opportunities they need to thrive. We do this by following our model of implementation.
The CIS Model of Integrated Supports is our evidence-based approach, adaptable to meet each community's unique needs.
