January 23, 2020 – Trombone player William Hulbert will travel with the Lions Band to Honolulu to compete at the Lions Club International Convention.
January 21, 2020 – Lt. Governor Delbert Hosemann named Spann Principal Lori Torrey to serve on a 19-member Administrator Advisory Council designed to provide input from Mississippi's public educators.
January 17, 2020 – Dawson Principal Vicki Conley was named Administrator of the Year; Lanier teacher Tia Carr-Hall, Teacher of the Year; and Spann parent Mark Anthony Davis, Parent of the Year.
Tuesday, January 28 will be a Professional Development Day for teachers. Students will be dismissed on the 80% Day schedule as follows:
- Elementary, 1:55 p.m.
- Middle, 2:20 p.m.
- High, 3 p.m.
7 a.m. Dropoff car riders and bus riders.
7:30 a.m. Cutoff for car riders to get breakfast.
7:45 Tardy bell sounds.
2:15 p.m. School dismissed.
