The Jackson Public Schools Parent & Family Engagement Center is actively supporting scholar achievement throughout the summer months by providing free educational resources to JPS families. Aligned with the District’s commitment to transforming lives through excellent education, the center is offering a variety of free materials designed to reinforce core skills, build academic confidence, and keep scholars reading all summer long.

These materials are available to all currently enrolled Jackson Public Schools families on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Available Learning Materials

Families visiting the center can receive the following resources:

• Summer Reading Books: A wide selection of titles aligned with the official Jackson Public Schools Summer Reading Lists for scholars in grades Pre-K through 12.

• Summer Enrichment Packets: Personalized academic packets designed to reinforce key grade-level skills and prevent summer learning loss.

• Home Library Additions: Supplemental books to help scholars discover new stories, build a love for reading, and expand their libraries at home.

Hours of Operation

Resources can be picked up during the center's standard weekly operating hours:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM (Book distribution window: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

• Friday: 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM (Book distribution window: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
