More than 60 beloved members of the JPS family will retire by the end of the school year. The school district hosted a private ceremony in their honor on May 13 at the Mississippi Trade Mart.

During the ceremony, Superintendent Dr. Errick L. Greene made a toast to wish them well in their future endeavors. JPS Board President Dr. Ed Sivak also delivered remarks recognizing the lasting impact the retirees have made on the district and the community.

As the song goes, "It’s so hard to say goodbye." Our esteemed colleagues often feel like family, making our workplaces joyful. While it’s bittersweet to see them go, we celebrate with them as they embark on the next chapter of their lives and proudly pay tribute to their many years of dedicated service.

To our retirees, thank you for your unwavering commitment to Jackson Public Schools, its scholars, families, and community. We wish you continued success, great health, and fulfillment in all your future endeavors.
