Jackson Public Schools is honored to celebrate teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5-9, 2025, and National Teacher Day on Tuesday, May 6. This year, we’re joining the national campaign to stand with teachers with the focus on what's best for our scholars — educators who are caring, committed, and have the resources they need to help every student succeed.

We encourage you to join the nationwide celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week by showing public school educators just how much you support, respect, and admire them. Consider a handwritten note, an email or a post on social media to share your gratitude for their contributions to you personally, someone you know or your own children. Share a story of an extraordinary educator, a terrific teacher, or a committed colleague who gives their best to their students every day. Use the hashtag #ThankATeacher with your post.

This is also the time of year we at Jackson Public Schools like to recognize our Teachers of the Year. These exemplars represent the outstanding instructional talent facilitating joyful learning experiences for scholars throughout our District.
