Jackson Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of George Slade as the new Executive Director of Information Technology Services. Slade brings more than 20 years of leadership and project management experience in IT across multiple industries, including hospitality, casino gaming, and civil engineering. He has a proven track record in driving professional development, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering innovation, strengthening cybersecurity, and streamlining support operations.

Prior to joining JPS, Slade served as the IT leader for multiple casinos in Mississippi and Arkansas.

Slade officially joined Jackson Public Schools in March 2025 and is already leading key infrastructure and data integration initiatives across the district.

"My mission is to develop a team of leaders and high-performing individuals who will, in turn, build their own teams of leaders and high performers," said Slade. "I hope to have a positive impact on the district now and for years to come."
