Murrah High School proudly welcomes Dr. Bradley Dean Blake as its new principal. With a heart for service and a passion for academic excellence, Dr. Blake brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and vision to the Murrah community.

“I am both grateful and humbled for the opportunity to serve as the principal of Murrah High School,” said Dr. Blake. “To witness the synergy among our scholars, teachers, parents, and stakeholders is truly powerful.”

Dr. Blake has previously served as a successful high school principal in Mississippi and holds National Board Certification in Social Studies. Throughout his career, he has empowered scholars to achieve national success in Speech and Debate. In addition to his work in education, Dr. Blake devoted 17 years to ministry, serving communities in Memphis, Tennessee; Long Island, New York; and northern Nigeria—experiences that have deeply shaped his leadership and commitment to people.

Joining Murrah High School is especially meaningful for Dr. Blake, who describes the opportunity as a dream come true. “Murrah’s strong academic rigor and high level of achievement are a testament to the dedication of our scholars, the tireless efforts of our staff, and the unwavering support of our families,” he said.

As the school year begins, Dr. Blake is calling on families and stakeholders to play an active role in the continued success of Murrah High School. He encourages participation in all aspects of school life—academic, artistic, and athletic—and emphasizes the importance of engagement through the school’s PTSA.

“One of our highest priorities is to grow and strengthen our PTSA,” Dr. Blake shared. “This organization serves as a vital pipeline for collaboration and support, and we invite all stakeholders to contribute to building upon our rich tradition of excellence.”

Murrah High School will operate under the theme “One Murrah!” for the upcoming school year. This theme reflects a commitment to unity, collective effort, and shared success across the entire school community.

“Our goal is to harness the collective strength of our community to create energy, enthusiasm, and continued growth for our Mustangs,” Dr. Blake said. “It is truly an honor to serve as the lead learner at Murrah High School as we strive to become a state leader in community service, a nationally recognized institution, and a globally impactful school enriching lives around the world.”

Murrah High School looks forward to a year of excellence, unity, and achievement under Dr. Blake’s leadership.
