During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4–8, 2026), we proudly honor the incredible educators of Jackson Public Schools—the dedicated professionals who shape the future of our district each and every day.

Our teachers do far more than deliver lessons. They inspire curiosity, nurture potential, and create safe, supportive environments where every scholar can grow and succeed. From early mornings to late afternoons—and often well beyond—our educators pour their time, energy, and passion into making a lasting difference in the lives of our scholars.

They are mentors, motivators, role models, and champions. They celebrate achievements, provide encouragement through challenges, and help scholars discover their purpose and potential. Because of their commitment, our schools are stronger, our communities are richer, and our future is brighter.

To every JPS teacher: thank you for your unwavering dedication, your compassion, and your belief in our scholars. Your impact extends far beyond the classroom, and your work does not go unnoticed.

Join us this week in showing appreciation and gratitude to the outstanding teachers who make Jackson Public Schools a place where excellence thrives.
