Jackson Public Schools celebrates Board Appreciation Week, February 16–20, 2026, recognizing the service and dedication of our Board of Trustees members.

Board Trustee Frank Figgers, a lifelong civil rights and community activist, has served on the Board since 2018. He currently serves as Program Manager of Community Outreach and Education at One Voice Inc., advocating for voting rights and civic engagement.

He also has also served as an election commissioner, worked extensively in community education initiatives, and contributed to organizations including the Young People’s Project of Jackson, the Veterans of the Mississippi Civil Rights Movement, and he is a Life Member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

Mr. Figgers is also a proud graduate of Tougaloo College.

Thank you, Mr. Figgers, for your continued leadership and commitment to serving scholars and families across the district.
