2023-2024 School Year
A NIGHT OF STARS – 2023/2024
December 8, 2023
Jackson Public Schools hosted its third annual A Night of Stars gala on Friday, December 8, 2023, at the Railroad District. Superintendent Dr. Errick L. Greene and Board President Dr. Edward Sivak acknowledged several outstanding team members for their success and hard work. Honorees were nominated and selected based on data points from their work performance. The 2023 gala celebration doubled the number of educators invited because of increased proficiency.
Dr. Greene presented awards to individuals for their continued commitment and dedication to making a difference for the District's scholars. Several team members were surprised to learn that they were named 2023-2024 Best of the Year honorees – Teacher of the Year, Support Staff of the Year, District Leader of the Year, and Administrator of the Year.
"During my tenure, I have made it a mission, not just to say thank you to the team, but to ensure we celebrate team members," said Dr. Greene. "We go all out to honor our Rock Stars, and this year's gala was no exception."
The Kellogg Foundation sponsors this evening of elegance, food, fellowship, and music.
Congratulations to the 2023 JPS Excellence in Education Awardees!
