- Engage in collaborative activity.
- Provide quality instruction for students.
Samuel Manual Brinkley (1878-1946). The Jackson native attended Tougaloo College and Campbell College. He was principal at schools in Crystal Springs, Utica, and Collins. He taught at Alcorn and returned to Jackson as assistant principal of Robertson. He later served as the teaching principal of the first organized junior high school program for black pupils in the Jackson Public Schools.
