Principal's Message
-
Welocme Casey Parents and Community,
As principal of Casey Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year and to also welcome those who may be new to Casey. We hope that you and your families are remaining healthy and safe during these unprecedented and challenging times. In the wake of this COVID-19 pandemic, our primary concern remains the health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and the greater Casey community. While the duration of the pandemic remains unclear, and situation continues to evolve, Casey will continue to be guided by national, state and local health officials and their respective guidelines.
Having moved all of the instruction to a virtual platform, our expectations for our scholars remain the same. We will continue to maintain our commitment to academic excellence through the modification of our learning platforms as needed, and so doing, will continue to strengthen the overall student experience at Casey. It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected and a part of our Casey family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities and to be ready for the next grade level. At Casey, we have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning whether it is in person or virtually. Our teachers utilize research-based best practices and analyze academic data to determine current skill levels and to set goals for growth and improvement.
We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. Our school website can be accessed at https://www.jackson.k12.ms.us/Casey. This year we will be utilizing our website more to provide you the most current and up to date information. In addition, teacher weekly newsletters will be emailed to parents on Friday afternoons. We will also post dates for current events and activities onto the website.
I am honored to serve as the principal of Casey Elementary School. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic growth. Please feel free to contact me at 601.987.3510.
We will continue to provide you with periodic updates. Once again, welcome! Let us make it a great year at Casey together!
