I am a teacher because it is something I feel called to do. It is not just a job, but a ministry for me. I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury while in college. My parents were told I would no longer be able to learn. I was determined not to be a victim and to show doctors that was still capable of being successful. I went on to earn a college degree and then completed a Master of Education to become a teacher. I wanted to help others see that they could learn, no matter what other people said! I just completed a Specialist degree in Reading Education. It is my desire to see that children are reading on grade level before they move on to high school.
