Mrs. Amy Covey

Mrs. Covey has been in public education for more than 26 years and served in many roles:  elementary teacher, college adjunct instructor, district literacy specialist, assistant principal, principal and Director of Innovative Projects.  Her favorite position, though, is serving as a school library media specialist. This is Mrs. Covey's third year as librarian at Johnson, but she has spent more than half of her career in the Jackson Public School District. She takes great pride in helping every student find a book to enjoy.

Mrs. Covey resides in Clinton with her husband, Rickey.  Her two sons, Tyler and Landon, are both in college working on degrees at Mississippi State University.  At home, she loves to read and garden.  One of Mrs. Covey's favorite quote is from Albert Einstein:

"The only thing that you absolutely have to know, is the location of the library."
