Northwest Guidance Counselor Department

  • Mission Statement 2018-2019

To create a comprehensive school counseling program that will provide students with healthy social and emotional dispositions while promoting innovative teaching and learning with a global perspective that inspires advanced levels of students’ achievement in academics and extracurricular performances.  This will provide accelerated levels of students’ engagement in a safe and nurturing environment with social consciousness that sparks actions to create, prepare, and sustain efforts to improve the community locally, as well as abroad.  By acquiring these skills, we will be providing every student a quality education to prepare them for college and career readiness for a successful future.

    Program Goal

Our goal is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes students’ academic performance, achievement, and social/emotional dispositions.  The program is designed to include teachers, staff, parents, and community resources to meet the needs of students. This will assist them in preparing for college and career readiness.
