Degrees and Certifications:
Greetings Scholars, Parents, and Visitors!
I, Ms. Arianna C. Stokes, am a graduate of Jackson State University, where I received a B.S in History Education. While at Jackson State University, I was blessed to be active in several organizations. Those organizations include the Student Government Association, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, History Club, and the Jackson State University branch of the NAACP. During my sophomore year, I fulfilled a lifetime dream of becoming a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Throughout my undergraduate career, both through organizations and independently, I gave service to children and those in need. Education has always been my passion. I was met with the opportunity to teach in JPS during my senior year, and that was one of the best decisions I've made thus far.
I have now entered my second year of teaching Social Studies at Whitten Preparatory Middle School. Presently, I serve as the team leader for some of the brightest and most brilliant students that make my job worthwhile. In addition to teaching, I also coach cheerleading at Whitten and serve as a member of the PBIS committee and Social Studies Department. Since I've been at Whitten, I have been awarded with the honor of "Teacher of the Month" by the administrative team and "PBIS Teacher of the Quarter" by the Rotary Club of Jackson.
Presently, I am furthering my education at Belhaven University, obtaining a Master's of Education with an emphasis in Educational Technology.
I will continue to do my best to help our eagles soar. Thank you for sharing your scholar with me.
