Dr. Wanda Clark
Dr. Wanda Clark received her undergraduate degree from the infamous Jackson State University (1996) and Master’s Degree from Belhaven University (2001). She received her Specialist (2008) and Doctorate Degrees (2012) in Educational Leadership from Mississippi College. Dr. Clark has served in the field of education for approximately 15 years.
She served as a classroom teacher for 7 years in the Yazoo City School District and Jackson Public School District, a Cornerstone Literacy Coach for 5 years while in the classroom at Watkins Elementary (JPSD), teacher mentor for 6 years, an Elementary Mathematics Specialist for 2 years with the JPSD, and a Master Teacher through the Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grant with Mississippi Department of Education at Van Winkle Elementary and Oak Forest Elementary. She also served as a Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Specialist with the Canton Public School District for 3 ½ years. She now serves as principal of Sykes Elementary School.
Dr. Clark has facilitated numerous professional development sessions, provided support with lesson planning, classroom instruction, conducted model lessons, observed classroom instruction, led data analysis meetings, and provided feedback to teachers in order to strengthen or enhance teaching and learning. Her educational philosophy is that all children have the right to a quality education and educators have the responsibility of providing it.
