Mrs. Camesha Hatchett

Mrs. Camesha Hatchett is beginning her 17th year in education. Before coming to Baker Elementary, she had the opportunity to spend one year at Walton Elementary and one year at G.N. Smith Elementary as an Assistant Principal. She also spent five years at Key Elementary as a teacher, media specialist, and interventionist. Prior to JPS, she has worked in the Hinds County and Canton Public School Districts. Mrs. Hatchett obtains her Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, her Master degree in Elementary Education from Belhaven University, and her Specialist degree in Education Leadership from Mississippi College.

Mrs. Hatchett has sponsored and supported numerous organizations, clubs, teams, and educational systems at various schools. She has also served as president of the Canton Association of Educators.

Mrs. Hatchett and her husband are proud parents of two boys, second and seventh grade. She enjoys spending time with her family and attending athletic events. Her hobbies include reading, painting, and giving back to the community through church and her sorority.

Mrs. Hatchett is honored to have the opportunity to continue to reach, teach, and inspire all scholars at Baker Elementary School. Her commitment to building positive relationships and leading by example will go hand in hand while Building Exceptional Educators at Baker!
