JPS Teacher Resource Center — The Teacher Resource Center (TRC) provides teachers with a multitude of resources to assist with classroom projects and to upgrade technological and professional skills. Please visit the TRC for more information.
MAGNOLIA provides online resources for publicly funded K-12 schools, public libraries, community college libraries, and university libraries in Mississippi. MAGNOLIA online resources include:
- EBSCOhost – supplies a powerful, online reference system offering a variety of full-text magazines, journals, and pamphlets from leading information providers.
- FirstSearch (WorldCat) – An online service that gives library professionals and users access to a rich collection of reference databases.
- Middle Search Plus - Full text for 140 popular middle school magazines, along with thousands of biographies, historical essays, primary source documents, reference books, and images. All full-text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles).
Students may access MAGNOLIA from their homes by securing a password from the librarian.
Needs Assessment Survey
Students may check out books for a two week period. Books may be renewed one time for an additional two week period.
DVDs and Books may be renewed one time for an additional two week period. DVDs and recorded books are available for checkout to teachers only.
Patrons are responsible for books and other materials they have chosen to check out. If an item is lost, it must be paid for in full. Payment can be made in the library at any time during the school year. All fines must be paid in full by the end of the school year.
The Hardy Academy of Career Exploration Media Center features numerous technological advances: e-books, virtual reality glasses, programmable robots, color copiers and scanners, netbooks, PC computers, and overhead projectors.
