About Boyd Elementary
Boyd Elementary is the home of the Bobcats. The school's enrollment capacity is approximately 700 students in grades 1-5.
Our main goal is to Build Our Youth Daily. We are committed to moving Boyd’s best ahead of the rest. Our school will provide excellence in education for all of our students. The entire school staff is committed to providing a school climate that facilitates the academic growth of students of diverse cultures, learning styles, and abilities.
The mission of Boyd Elementary School is to create a safe learning environment, in partnership with families and the community, to promote annual academic and social achievement.
The vision of Boyd Elementary School is to be the B.E.S.T. (Believe, Excel, and Succeed Together).

Boyd Elementary School is named after Mary Lee Boyd (1874-1949).This French Camp native graduated from Central Mississippi Institute and taught at Lenago, Madison County, Starkville, and Aberdeen. In 1913, she came to Central High School in Jackson, MS, where she taught history until 1945. Boyd Elementary is located at 4531 Broadmeadow St. Jackson, Ms 39206.
