My Ride K-12 Transportation App Parent Guide

1. Download the app. Search My Ride K-12 in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

2. Create your account. 

   1. Tap Sign Up.

   2. Enter your information. 

   3. Provide your email address. 

   4. Check your email and click the verification link. 

   5. Return to the app and sign in.

Already have an account? Tap Sign In and enter your email and password. 

3. Add your school district.

1. Search for Jackson Public Schools.
2. Select Jackson Public Schools from the list. 
3. Confirm it appears on your account.

4. Add your scholar. Tap My Students. Select Add Student and enter the requested information, such as:

• Student ID
• Date of birth or other verification information (if requested)

Once verified, tap Add Student. If you have more than one scholar, repeat these steps to add each scholar. 

5. Manage your scholar. Once your scholar is linked, you can view and manage:

• Transportation Schedule
• Student Information
• Bus Scan History
• Live Bus Location (if enabled)

6. Receive Transportation Notifications. The app will notify you if there is:

• Bus delays
• Route changes
• Bus changes or bus substitutions
• Transportation announcements
• Important district updates

Missed a notification? Open the Message Center to view previous messages.

7. Share Student Access. Need another family member to receive updates? Use the Share Student option to invite another trusted adult by email.
