School Support
Department Overview
The Office of School Support ensures that all scholars have equitable access to high-quality educational experiences through the effective use of federal funds. We oversee federal education budgets for Titles I-A, II-A, III-A, IV-A, and McKinney-Vento (Homeless) programs and provide school and district leaders with guidance on leveraging these resources to deliver supplemental educational opportunities that prepare scholars to thrive in a global society.

Title I – Provides funding to improve academic achievement for scholars in schools with high percentages of low-income families.

Title II – Supports professional development and training for teachers and leaders to strengthen instruction.

Title III – Provides resources to help English Learners attain English proficiency and meet academic standards.

Title IV – Expands access to a well-rounded education, supports safe and healthy schools, and enhances the use of technology in learning.

McKinney-Vento – Ensures that children and youth experiencing homelessness have equal access to education and necessary supports.

Mission Statement
The Office of School Support provides guidance in the use of supplemental educational resources, in accordance with federal guidelines, to enhance the utilization of programs that will prepare scholars to succeed in a global society.
