Quality Assurance
The Quality Assurance Department works to make sure that schools and offices across the District follow important laws, rules, and ethical standards. We regularly check and update the Mississippi Department of Education’s monitoring tools to train staff on how to follow policies and procedures, especially when it comes to taking care of equipment bought with federal Title I funds. We also help staff with uploading the required documents into the Title1Crate online system. We follow federal guidelines to make sure equipment is used properly and consistently in all locations.
Compliance Managers Responsibilities
- Help schools understand and follow requirements before official monitoring visits.
- Provide Technical Assistance (TA) to staff who need extra help with federal requirements.
- Conduct monthly checks on 10% of Title I equipment purchases to ensure proper handling.
- Promote proactive planning to avoid future issues.
- Work closely with the Assets and Property Department and the IT Department to manage equipment across the district.
As public employees, we have a duty to serve the people of Mississippi with honesty, integrity, and accountability. The Compliance Managers work every day to make sure our actions match our goals and values.
