Jackson Public Schools
McKinney-Vento
The mission of the Jackson Public Schools McKinney-Vento Program (MVP) is to support students and their families living in homeless situations or that are in transition.
The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 amended the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, Education for Homeless Children and Youth program and Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The amendment includes provisions designed to improve training, identification, enrollment, stability, and success from pre-school through high school and the transition to post-secondary education.
