Department Overview

Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide accurate, relevant, and concise feedback, to support strategic, data-driven decision-making, district-wide. Because valid, and reliable data is an essential ingredient to foster and support holistic growth and sustainability, our goal is to research, collect, analyze, disseminate, and distribute quality and timely data using best practices. 

The Department of Research and Accountability strives to:

 District and Key Stakeholder Level:

  • Systematically compile, disaggregate, and generate accurate and reliable evidence-based, warehoused data for timely distribution.
  • Collaborate with district staff and key stakeholders to formulate, develop, implement and evaluate assessment and accountability programs.

School Level:

  • Support school leaders and educators by providing evidence-based assessments and program feedback with training, for strategic planning and informed decision-making pivotal for overall campus-wide and student growth.  
  • Provide campus leaders with guidance for implementing the Mississippi Professional Growth System accountability model.
