Department Overview
The Office of Finance and Operations oversees a broad range of services that support Jackson Public Schools’ vision, mission, and goals.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) provides executive leadership and clear direction for all business services, finance, and operations departments. Working closely with the Superintendent, the COO ensures that these departments collaborate to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments. This includes providing nutritious meals every day, coordinating safe and efficient student transportation, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
The Office also ensures compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Additionally, the COO guides long-range financial planning, communicates economic forecasts effectively, and manages the development of fiscal policies, processes, and internal auditing procedures.
The Office of Finance and Operations includes the following divisions:
