Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Jackson Public Schools website to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
What are we doing?
To help us make the Jackson Public Schools website a positive place for everyone, we've been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for our website.
How are we doing?
We've worked hard on the Jackson Public Schools website and believe we've achieved our goal of Level AA accessibility.
Jackson Public Schools is committed to providing equitable access to our services to all Mississippians. Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards being in line with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA criteria. These guidelines help make technology accessible not only to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our efforts are just part of a meaningful change in making all State of Mississippi services inclusive and accessible. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch.
