Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. T. Rush II
I am Timothy W. Rush II. I graduated from Jackson State University in 2015, and I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. During my collegiate years, I played football for three years and gained a love for education. Currently, I am a graduate student at Jackson State University. I recently spent my first three years of teaching on the elementary level at Spann Elementary (5th grade ELA).
During my younger years, I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program as a student at Siwell Middle School and Jim Hill High School (Grades 6-12), so, I am aware of the rigorous program because that I am a product of it. This program has greatly advanced my educational career and has left a great impact on my overall life.
For the 2018-2019 school year, I will be teaching English Language Arts MYP Year 1 (Grade 6). I am beginning my 4th year of teaching but my 1st year at Northwest. I am looking forward to this new journey and working together with your student as they grow in their knowledge of English Language Arts. My passion is being a role model, difference maker, and part of the reason why students reach their full potential. I am ecstatic about this new school year at Northwest! Middle school was some of the best years of my life, and I plan on creating that same atmosphere for my students.
