Jackson Public School District Maintains ‘C’ Rating on Mississippi Academic Assessment Program
September 17, 2024 – Jackson Public Schools maintained a "C" rating on the latest Mississippi Academic Assessment Program. Additionally, we saw slight increases in Science proficiency and grade level progress worth celebrating.

September 5, 2024 – Seven JPS educators were added to the Mississippi Teacher Advisory Council for 2024-2025. They will be among nearly 200 members advising the MDE and State Superintendent Dr. Lance Evans.

JPS To Continue Offering No Cost Breakfast & Lunch Meals
July 25, 2025 – JPS scholars will be able to choose healthy breakfast and lunch meals at no cost to families thanks to the USDA's extension of the Seamless Summer Option.
