Dr. Tracie Nave

Lion Nation! I am excited to serve as one of the assistant principals at Cardozo Middle School. I am Dr. Tracie Nave, and this year, I will begin my 23rd year in education and my sixth year in the Jackson Public School District. My career as an assistant principal started in the Houston Independent School District (HISD) in Houston, TX. After serving three years as a Middle School assistant principal in HISD, I decided to become a high school assistant principal in the Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District in Houston, TX. My passion is working with students, developing teachers, and championing teachers' and students' successes.

My educational experiences include a Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University, a Master's degree from Prairie View A&M University, and a Doctorate from the University of Southern Mississippi. Additionally, before becoming an educator, I was a member of the United States Armed Services, the U.S. Navy (active duty), and the U.S. Air Force Reserves. 

My teaching career started as an Immediate School Math, Science, and History teacher in the Alief Independent School District in Houston, TX. After nine years in Alief ISD, I transitioned to Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District as a Middle School Math and Science teacher.

I look forward to working with the parents, scholars, and all stakeholders to make Cardozo Middle School the best it can be.
