Child Nutrition At School & On the Go
The Jackson Public Schools Office of Child Nutrition will provide meals to in-person, hybrid and virtual learners as part of the District's Smart Restart Plan. Breakfast and lunch meals will be provided at all schools and will continue to be delivered by our Transportation Department at neighborhood bus stops throughout the semester. Families will be able to pick up meals at any JPS school during the school's normal lunch hours. Students must be registered as a Jackson Public School District student to pick up meals.
JPS buses will make one run a day to deliver lunches at neighborhood bus stops—from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for elementary and middle school students and from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for high school students.
Weekend meals will be provided for in-person and virtual learners.
Meal service at schools for in-person learners will ensure students maintain the recommended physical distance. Hybrid students at middle and high schools, who attend school on every other day, will be able to take home breakfast and lunch meals for the day they do not come to school. Weekend meals will also be provided.
