January 8, 2020 – The JPS Board of Trustees unanimously approved the District's plan to redesign school in support of its five-year strategic action plan.
January 7, 2020 – JPS Superintendent Dr. Errick L. Greene will present the District's school redesign plan for Board consideration at the January 7 regular meeting of the Board.
December 6, 2019 – District Plan will increase equity and support Districtwide Academic Excellence.
Due to flooding expected for Saturday, January 18, all District activities have been canceled, including the MLK Ladies Hoop Fest at Lanier and the Murrah-Columbia benefit soccer game.
All JPS schools and offices will be closed Monday, January 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Tuesday, January 28 will be a Professional Development Day for teachers. Students will be dismissed on the 80% Day schedule as follows:
- Elementary, 1:55 p.m.
- Middle, 2:20 p.m.
- High, 3 p.m.
7 a.m. Dropoff car riders and bus riders.
7:30 a.m. Cutoff for car riders to get breakfast.
7:45 a.m. Tardy bell sounds.
2:15 p.m. School dismissed.
Early dismissal: 12 p.m. as specified in District Calendar.
