JPS School Board Town Hall Meeting
Description
What does probation actually mean for JPS? How will it impact graduation and scholarships for students? What is JPS doing to address the deficiencies pointed out by an audit performed by the Mississippi Department of Education? How did JPS perform in the state’s recent accountability ratings? These are some of the questions that the Jackson Public Schools Board of Trustees will answer in an upcoming Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, from 6–8 p.m. at the Roadmap To Health Equity Project located at 2548 Livingston Road, Jackson, MS 39213.
Board members, the superintendent, and District leaders will address the status of the District’s Corrective Action Plan, operational challenges, and academic achievements of schools and students. Community members from across the city of Jackson are invited and encouraged to attend.
