Below is a list of summer programs offered by Jackson Public Schools as well as those that are community-sponsored. Contact each organization to get more information. Check back often, as programs will be added throughout the summer as information about programs becomes available for the current year.
JPS 21st Century Summer Program
This program is for students enrolled at 21st Century Schools: Clausell, French, Raines, and Woodville Heights elementary schools and Blackburn, Brinkley, Peeples, and Whitten middle schools. Enrichment sessions will be held from June 6–July 1. Hours are 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Monday through Thursday and extend to 2 p.m. on Friday.

JPS Elementary Summer Boost
This program is for currently enrolled JPS elementary students in third grade only who meet eligibility criteria. The program takes place from June 6–July 1.

JPS Family Resource Center Summer Programs
Book Fair and Parent Academy are for parents and Computer Camp is for students in grades K–12. Programs begin June 6.

JPS Summer School for High Grades
Tuition-based summer school for JPS and non-JPS students who have failed a subject.
Dates: June 6–July 29
Times: 7:30a–12:30p, M–F
Cost: $260 for one full unit; $130 for one-half unit

JPS Summer School for Middle Grades
Tuition-based summer school for JPS middle school students who have not mastered state and district objectives in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
Dates: June 6–July 15
Times: 7:30a–12:30p, M–F (Algebra I ends at 1p.)
Location: Brinkley Middle, 3535 Albemarle Road
Contact your child's school to register. Registration is May 20–June 3 at home school only.
