Whitten is fortunate to have the support of the Mississippi Baptist Health Systems as its partner in the district's Adopt-A-School program. Mississippi Baptist Health Systems enhances the educational environment of the school and community by:

• Providing judges for the science fairs;
• Giving physical examinations for athletes, cheerleaders, and the drill team;
• Providing food trays for the faculty on parent conference days;
• Providing consultants and instructors for classes;
• Coordinating a Hepatitis B immunization campaign for six graders;
• Conducting a career development workshop and tour for honor students;
• Conducting an essay contest for English students.
