Message from the Principal
The Siwell Cougars welcome you to our web site.
Our theme for the 2008 - 2009 school year is “We believe
we will succeed.” Siwell is a school where all children
can be successful. Our faculty and staff are committed to working
diligently with all of our students by using innovative strategies
to improve student achievement (WOW), “Working on the Work.”
Siwell is one of two middle schools in the Jackson Public School
District that has been designated as an International Baccalaureate
Middle Years Program. This is a five-year program for students
in grades six (6) through ten (10). Years one through three are
at Siwell while students move into years four and five at Jim
Hill High School. More information on this innovative program
may be found on our “Special Programs” feature.
The mission of Siwell Middle School
is to ensure that all of our students are socially and academically
prepared for success at the high school level.
